Performance
The Xiaomi 13 Lite has an upgraded chipset compared to last year’s Xiaomi 12 Lite. The new Xiaomi 13 Lite is powered by Qualcomm SM7450-AB Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset which is based on the 4nm manufacturing process. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor includes a dedicated AI Engine.

It has an octa-core CPU which consists of 1×2.4 GHz Cortex-A710, 3×2.36 GHz Cortex-A710, and 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A510 cores, and the Adreno 644 GPU. Xiaomi claims that the new chipset is 20% faster in GPU performance and 30% faster in AI-related tasks than the older Snapdragon 778G.
The smartphone also has a custom stainless steel vacuum chamber for improved thermals and an Adreno Frame Motion Engine that boosts framerates with the same power consumption as the Snapdragon 778G.

The ISP can handle up to 200MP camera sensors and supports 4K HDR video recording and 10-bit HEIC photos. However, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is not as fast as Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Snapdragon 888, or Dimensity 8100-powered smartphones.
However, looking at the Xiaomi 13 Lite price in Nepal, we can consider the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. As per the Xiaomi 13 lite review by GSM Arena, the SD7 Gen 1 chip isn’t suitable for gaming as the device struggles to keep it running at decent clock speeds.
The smartphone features UFS 2.2 storage technology for faster read and write speeds compared to conventional eMMC storage. Under the hood, the new Xiaomi 13 Lite runs on Android 12 with MIUI 14.
