Nepal Network Operators Group (npNOG) is organizing a five-day workshop and conference named npNOG-8 in Kathmandu, Nepal. The event will take place from Asar 3 to 8 (June 18 to 23) at Hotel Royal Singi and Aloft Hotel.
The workshop, held at Hotel Royal Singii, will offer training sessions in networking, information, and communication technology. Industry professionals will conduct the sessions in two specific areas.

The workshop is a joint effort by the Internet Exchange Nepal (npIX) and Nepal Network Operators Group (npNOG), focusing on topics such as network security, optical fiber networks, infrastructure, and BGP and IP6 deployment.
On the final day, the conference will be held at the Aloft Hotel, where IT professionals will present their research papers. Around 150 individuals actively involved in the information and communication technology field are expected to participate in the conference.

Rupesh Bhakta Shrestha, the Managing Director of npIX, highlighted the program’s goal of facilitating the exchange of knowledge among the information and communication technology community. The workshop will be conducted by professionals volunteering their expertise, he added.
The npNOG committee plans to organize two programs per year, one in Kathmandu and another outside the city. The participants have expressed their commitment to contributing to the development of skilled human resources in Nepal through initiatives like npNOG.
